Industrials / Natural Resources

About

This fund consists of both an Industrials and Natural Resources component. The Industrials component includes firms that manufacture and distribute capital goods, provide commercial services and supplies, and provide transportation services. This fund seeks to invests in industry plays including the materials, construction, aerospace and defense, machinery, automotive, and transportation industries. The industrials sector is largely capital expenditure heavy, research and development oriented, and dependent on macro drivers like government spending and reliant on rollover corporate contracts. Because of the cyclicality of this industry and how closely it tracks macroeconomic trends, analysts are those who have a strong interest in the economy more broadly. The Natural Resources component will cover all O&G verticals as well as renewable energy generation. The fund will cover each vertical in depth and highlight modeling similarities and differences. Given the commodity-driven nature of the industry, the fund will emphasize historical developments and current macro trends in the Oil and Gas space.
