USIT’s Flagship Competitions
Texas Charity Pitch
Texas Charity Pitch, or TCP, is an annual competition where teams of undergraduate students pitch a charity as they would pitch a stock. Students choose a charity and present its causes, finances, management, and effectiveness before a panel of esteemed judges. As USIT's first major competition each year, TCP allows students to build experience in pitching and researching while working towards a meaningful cause. Winning teams will receive a donation to their charity of choice of up to several thousand dollars from our sponsors. The competition will be held in November 2024.
Analyst Group Stock Pitch
Analyst Group Stock Pitch (AGSP) is a competition catered towards our freshmen and sophomore members who have undergone our Analyst Group curriculum throughout the fall semester. Judged by USIT’s Executive Team and Portfolio Managers, these underclassmen are able to showcase what they've learned in their analyst groups, as well as gain practical experience in evaluating a company, among other things. AGSP provides a unique opportunity for underclassmen to gain valuable collegiate competition experience, receive in-depth feedback regarding their pitch,
and prepare for USIT's national stock pitch-- Texas Stock Pitch. The top three winners will receive a cash prize and their pitch may be added to USIT's All-Star portfolio. AGSP will be held in February 2025.
Texas Stock Pitch
Texas Stock Pitch Competition, or "TSP", is USIT's premier and the largest stock pitch competition in the Southern United States. It provides undergraduate students from all over the nation with the opportunity to demonstrate their proficiency in investment research, valuation, and presentation to a panel of seasoned industry professionals. These judges represent local and national investment banks, private equity firms, hedge funds, and more. TSP is the only stock pitch held on the Forty Acres and offers students the best opportunity to receive feedback and network with industry professionals from top firms around the nation, along with a chance to earn up to five thousand dollars in prize money. This competition will be held in February 2025.
